Welcome to Malmagic Alaskan Malamutes, We are Wayne & Kim and together we run a small hobby show kennel in Essex England. At present we own 3 Alaskan Malamutes and 1 Rottweiler. Our Kennel name "Malmagic" comes from our love of this fantastic breed that is The Alaskan Malamute.

We were both brought up as children with our parents owning German Shepherds so we are by no means strangers to large breeds. When we got married in 1999 we decided that we would like to get a dog, both of us had always liked the Rottweiler so when the time was right for us to get a pet it was a Rottweiler that we went looking for. Our first Rotty "Kara" was your typical happy puppy, that was until she reached the age of about 4 months old when she started to limp badly on her front legs and was diagnosed with Elbow Dysplasia! We spent alot of time going backwards and forwards to the vets and specialists until we found one that could operate on her legs. It was because of Kara that we both became involved in "LASER" which stands for "London And South East Rottweiler" we were introduced to some of the top breeders in the country who helped us understand this noble and loyal breed. We have both been on the committee of the club until recently, as Club Secretary and Vice Chairman.

We first got involved in the showing of dogs when we purchased our second Rottweiler and soon got the bug and became regulars around the show circuits. This is where we fell in love with the "Alaskan Malamute" from the moment we came up close to this magnificent breed we were hooked, the beauty and sheer presence of these dogs was so impressive that we knew that this was where our future in dogs was heading. Our first Mallie was "Icesha" our bitch who soon proved herself in the show ring by being consistantly placed at Open & Championship level not to mention being placed first two years in a row in both the Puppy and Junior Classes at the Alaskan Malamute Club Show of the U.K.

After a few months we decided to get our second Mallie "Bandit" and this was when the fun really started, Bandit's breeders are seriously into racing their Huskies and Malamutes and as you can probably guess we got hooked and are both now regulars at the various rallies around the U.K.
